Dancing for Hope
Join Al Wadi Dance Co. for an evening of raqs sharqi to benefit the Lebanese Red Cross & JSIR. Solos, duets, and small group performances by Heather Louise, Ella Moore, and students of Al Wadi. Each ticket includes one entry into the raffle.
Sawa Live Music Immersion Weekend
Join Heather, Ella, and our musical friends for a weekend of dance and live music immersed under one roof. Jim Grippo & Faisal Zedan join us from the Bay Area to root us in the melody and rhythms of Middle Eastern music. Together we’ll guide you through exercises, exploration, and discussion to feel the music move more freely through you.
World Fusion Experience
The World Fusion Experience is a multicultural concert that brings together immigrant and BIPOC musicians from across Portland to celebrate the rich musical traditions of cultures around the world. The performance features a unique ensemble of artists performing on traditional instruments from diverse regions, blending these sounds with contemporary composition and orchestration.
Led by composer and conductor Balamurali Balu, the concert highlights the beauty of cross-cultural collaboration, creating music that bridges traditions while exploring new sonic possibilities. The event provides a platform for musicians whose work is often presented primarily within their own cultural communities, inviting broader audiences to experience the richness and diversity of global musical heritage.
Heather Louise will perform as a guest at this concert.
